Welcome to the Women of Reform Judaism Central District website. Whether this is your first visit or a return visit, we hope that you find information to help you and your sisterhood. You will find information on Central District, WRJ, and information and resources on programming, fundraising, and membership and other sisterhood activities.
The Central District is your liaison between the Women of Reform Judaism and the local sisterhoods we serve. Currently our district consists of 36 sisterhoods in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
I, as president, the 5 vice presidents, area directors and committee chairs are available to help you. We are set up in departments: Service to Sisterhoods, Programming and Advocacy, Development and Special Projects, and Marketing and Communication.
We can be consultants and we have an active speaker’s bureau. If you want a speaker for a Sisterhood Shabbat or any sisterhood program just contact the chair for Speaker’s Bureau and she will work with you to make this happen.

Mission Statement
Women of Reform Judaism, an affiliate of the Union for Reform Judaism, is the collective voice and presence of women in congregational life. Stronger together, we support the ideals and enhance the quality of Jewish living to ensure the future of progressive Judaism in North America, Israel and around the world. May, 2005.
WRJ is the founder of NFTY (the North American Federation of Temple Youth) and the Jewish Braille International organization. The women's organization is also a member of the World Union for Progressive Judaism and works on behalf of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. WRJ brings together more than 65,000 Jewish women in over 500 Sisterhoods throughout the United States, Canada and other countries around the world.
WRJ Central District
WRJ Central District is the link between WRJ and the local sisterhoods.
THE PURPOSE OF WRJ CENTRAL DISTRICT IS:
- To promote the aims of Women of Reform Judaism and cooperate in its projects.
- To bring the Sisterhoods of the District into closer cooperation and association with one another to further their respective activities.
- To help Sisterhoods participate most effectively in the activities of Women of Reform Judaism and to serve as liaison between local Sisterhoods and Women of Reform Judaism.
- To assist in the organization of new Sisterhoods in the District.
The WRJ Central District exists to assist the work of local Sisterhood leaders and to make your life easier.
